“Peeping on Peter Tom” offers audiences a unique and immersive way to experience a film about a peeping tom—by peeping through holes in a box. Originally created in 2022, our short film “The Love & Loss of Peter Tom” enjoyed a successful festival run, becoming a finalist in several international competitions and winning Best Dark Comedy at the Gold Blink Film Festival.
Although the film hasn’t yet been released in New Zealand, we’re thrilled to debut it during the 2024 Auckland Fringe Festival with a creative twist. The story, centered around a breakup with a darker peeping element, inspired us to screen the film inside a cupboard. As the audience, you’ll have to peek through holes to watch, making you the “peeping tom” on Peter Tom.
We’re confident that this free installation, in collaboration with Basement Theatre, will offer an unforgettable viewing experience—because you never know who might be watching……..
